Add an extra scoop!

Here's one more additional region I did for Frozen Frenzy--Ube! For the Ube region, I only had time to do the map region before I was moved onto a new game, so this comes without the background and character. Still, I think it came out pretty sweet!

Halo halo!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Here's some maps, backgrounds, and characters I created for the game Frozen Frenzy Mania, which you should all go out and play! This game was super cute, and a lot of fun to work on...even if it gave me an awful sweet tooth...

Regions are shown in the order they were created!

Our first few regions:
Our first region, Vanilla!
Chocolate includes a Planetoid, which were used to help break up maps and lessen loading time.
Strawberry also had a Planetoid!
Mint was a super popular region, for some reason.

Here, regions began lengthening in unity, so their concepts had to lengthen too...
Cookie Dough was a real challenge, since it was mostly brown on brown, with no real topping being associated with the flavor.  I think the addition of macaroons helped add some pops of color, and I'm really proud of how well this region turned out, considering all the fussing.

In the game, characters are often posing or doing some activity. I wanted to have a sunbathing Ulf, but I was down voted. But at least you guys can see him here, in all his voluptuous glory!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Taking the Rocky Road!

Here, I began taking over characters from Sueann as well:
Here I feel is where we really hit our stride! And Willie!

I LOVE how this region turned out, one of my faves. And Neapuffington!

I asked Nick, can we have a chinchilla that insensitively wears a fur coat? And Nick said yes! Thus, Sherry the Cherry Chinchilla!

Regions get even looonger!
Our Christmas region! Peppermint reindeer needs a catchy name, though.

THIS region was so much fun! Nick asked me if we even needed a rainbow level, since we had sherbet, and what flavor  "rainbow" was anyway. It's flavor is MAGIC~!

This one turned out nice, and even has a hot springs monkey, which I'm sure we'll use again for coffee.

Hope I didn't give any of you guys diabetes!

Watercolor Trials

Here are some digital watercolors I did in July I forgot to post.  Been trying out how to mimic watercolor is photoshop, but it is a tricky task!

Murder She Painted

Sometimes, at work, you paint cute things. Sometimes...you paint MURDER. Take a look at the murder scenes (because all crimes are murder!) I painted for one of our crime games!
"Hey Boss, is it cool if I head out a little early today?"

Here's proof of concept to the PMs that not every crime scene has to be monochrome CSI green, that even the most most warm, inviting places can be made grisly if you put enough blood on it!

Living in Wonderland!

Another game that recently got put out, Fairytale Wonderland! Here's some of the stuff I worked on.

Here's a Cottage I created, though it was later changed to have a storybook roof.

Here's the Tavern, where they drink "root beer" WINK WINK

Here's Sleeping Beauty's Castle, once you uncover all the thorny vines growing off it (it has a hothouse on the roof!). They wanted this one thin and spindly, but with isometric perspective, that sometimes required...creative proportioning.

I didn't have a lot of time to concept for the third little pig's house, but I think Hamlet's home came out pretty good!

HAHAHA OMG I love Prince Charming's pad. Palm trees and gold statues of himself and HOT TUBS, it's so trashy, so good.

Merlin's Magical Circle!

A Card Trap, used to capture enemies in game. Note the very devious trap up in the top left.

Cinderella Carriage took foreverrrr to make, because it has so many stages and rotations, but totally worth it, coz now 'Rella rides like a baller.

And here are some extra goodies. Some of these, like the Cupid, the Tea Cup, and Alice,  I did not concept, only painted. Other stuff I concepted but someone else took to finish.

And there is the wonder of Wonderland! Hope you all enjoyed!

FEESH

Earlier in 2014 I worked on Fish Frenzy Mania! It was really a fun and colorful game, and I had a great time working on it. Now that the game is out, I can show you some of the stuff I worked on.

Vacationing Vikings and Blue Lagoon regions!

Jungle and SHARKNADO regions! I couldn't help myself.

You would not believe the struggle we went through to keep her from being white. Seahorse mermaid is my personal favorite!

"You know what fish is really trending right now?" the PM said, looking me straight in the eye, "Clown fish.

Originally, this game was supposed to have a human hero, but we quickly saw mermaids were the superior choice, so this guy eventually evolved into our villain, The Worst Kid.
Half of the Boardwalk region I did, as well as some extra goodies.

If someone once told me "you will paint mermaids one day for pay", I think I would have died of happiness, but here I am, living the dream!

More Skriker!

One note I got from nearly everyone on my Skriker project was that there was no real scene where characters interacted with the environment they were in. So I went ahead and painted one of my favorite scenes from the play, where Josie is trying to convince Lily to steer clear of the Skriker, while the Skriker eavesdrops in the form of their couch. Skriker gets tired of all the smack talk, and finally just morphs out of the couch (much to Josie's annoyance and lack of all surprise), all decked out in a silly "fairy" costume and does a little dance.

That ugly couch pattern is flattering on everyone!

"Here I am as you can see,
A fairy from a Christmas Tree!
I can give you heart's desire,
Help you set the world on fire!"

HAHA WHAT COULD GO WRONG
