HOG! UNLEASHED!

At long last, here is the work I did for our latest hidden object game (HOG), Mystery Crimes! This update would have happened much sooner, but the cleanup work I did to these scenes for the blog was lost in The Great Laptop Theiving. It haunts me to this day!

Here's the first background I did for the game! Most levels have around 60 objects (some painted from scratch, other painted-over photos), but for this post I took some out for clarity.

Here's a remix of the same scene for our Valentine's binary. Notice the peeing cupid still in place.

Here's another scene, the Subway Station. Totally crammed a bunch of jokes into the magazine stand and signs.

Here's a rare case where a scene looks BETTER with all the objects in (probably because it would just be a blank dorm room, yawn). More jokes!

This is what a hacker's den look like, right?
This scene was originally just supposed to be a blurred backdrop for our avatar to chat with Lindsey the Hacker, one of our reoccurring characters, but folks liked it enough to make it into a crime scene! Poor Lindsey.

This is our Generic Urban Setting reoccurring character dialog backdrop.

Aaand here is an opposing side I frankensteined together to match the Police Station dialog scene Marco painted.

These are the characters I created for the game. The one on the left is "Lucky" Lucerno, our sarcastic pawn shop owner, who was inspired by Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous. In the middle is biker barman Tom Tooms, who does not serve appletinis and likes tiny dogs, and was inspired by Hulk Hogan and Paul Teutel from Orange County Choppers . And on the right is Paloma, our runway DIVA, inspired by Grace Jones, but with a bit of Byron Lars' fashion and color palette.

This game was awesome to work on, definitely my favorite so far, and I cannot wait to work on the next one!
